This past year I’ve been in the school of the Holy Spirit. No, not the school of signs and wonders, but the school of conviction and correction! I’ve gone from the mountain tops to the desert valleys. I’ve heard the unmistakable voice of the Lord, only to have His silence become deafening! I’m definitely leaving 2011 with a few lessons learned!

Top 12 lessons I learned from God to take into 2012:

12. Just because I’ve got a vision from God, it doesn’t mean that’s what it’s going to look like.

11. When starting a ministry, you may find yourself doing things you’re not gifted at!

10. Not everyone is as excited as I am about where God is taking me!

9. God is partial to the 11th hour!

8. God is working the hardest in those who look like they are running away the fastest.

7. Websites and website design is from the devil!

6. Jesus shows up even when I’m not feeling it.

5. Preplanning for God is like telling your boss how to run his own business – total waste of time and energy!

4. My authority comes from God, not man.

3. God hasn’t given me a message to be hidden, so He’s not going to let me hide.

2. Don’t try and minister where there is no need. Ask God to place you where the need is.

1. If it’s not about people, then it’s just not Jesus!

A Few Last Words for 2011

I must say THANK YOU to a few very special people.

My family Tom, Kaitlyn, and Joshua. Thank you for giving up your home and allowing me to transform it house into my workshops, and giving me the space, time, and understanding to blog, write, and listen to God.

The executive pastor, Mark Sligar, at my home church, The Father’s House. Without his wisdom and guidence I know I would have crashed and burned at least a few 100 times!

My team Carolynn, Jennifer, Katie, Laura, Nina, and Tracey you have made it all worth it!

Those who’ve volunteered at past workshops: Rebecca, Heather, May, and Robin thanks for helping me take my first steps.

To my Meredith, your creativity made it all look so beautiful even if you were across and ocean!

My prayer warriors Tom, Betty, Rebecca, Autumn, Nancy, Brenda, Diane and others I didn’t even know were praying for me… it wouldn’t have happen without it! Your covering pushed me all the way through the year!

Finally, to everyone who has read a post, shared my blog, made a comment, or attended a workshop THANK YOU for trusting me enough to allow God to use me in your life!

Look out 2012! God is on the move to be known even more intimately than He’s shown Himself in 2011! It’s not about religion it’s all about relationship!

Happy New Year Everyone!

What a great reflection on 2011. Excited to see how God moves in and through Remade Ministries and the lives it touches. You are right…”If its not about people….then it’s not Jesus.” We are to remind people who we are to Jesus, that we are remade, and we belong to Him…even though he doesn’t trust us (read past blog if that doesn’t make sense). Happy New Year Beth and Remade Ministries!

    Hi Beth,
    10. Not everyone is as excited as I am about where God is taking me! I found this one to be very true myself. I generally don’t tell many people my plans anymore, I just keep them to myself.

Take care and Happy New Year!

      Hey Justin!

Always glad when you come by. I’m like you, I selectively share because sometimes it’s a real letdown when I do! But that’s ok it still doesn’t change the direction God is taking us now does it? 🙂
