Lord, use me. Help me to see the things you ask of me, and help me to do what you ask.
Maybe you’ve prayed that before. I have on more than one occasion. Recently, I got to see something I’d never seen before, I saw how I stood in the balance of an answer to prayer.
Our weekly marriage group was full. We had another request to join, but had to turn them away. Shortly after that, we had a couple leave our group. We’d heard that the wife of the couple, who wanted to join when we were full, had been praying God would make a way for them to join our group.
A week later I was reflecting on our group, the praying wife, and the couple who had to leave. In a moment I sensed God opening my eyes to how He partners with us to fulfill the heart cries of others.
In that moment, I could see the wife praying that God would make room, the couple leaving to make the room, and then, there we were standing in the position of the answer to her prayer – it stopped with us.
I knew God wouldn’t force His will upon us, but God wouldn’t allow that couple to leave the forefront of our minds either. God wanted to answer that wife’s prayer, and He was using us to do it.
How about you? Is God impressing upon your heart to partner with Him? It’s easy to get discouraged and do nothing when we think of the things we can’t do for God, but what about the things we can?
If we leave what’s impossible for God, then everything that is possible we are freed up to do! I encourage you to be the answer to someone’s prayer. God is wanting to partner with you today!
