So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord…and the Lord makes us more and more like Him… 2 Cor. 3:18

When we lived in Germany, we sent our family home a bunch of candy called Kinder Eggs. Chocolate eggs with a small toy inside. I had my youngest brother convinced that my husband’s family owned the company. Terrible trick to play on my brother, but fun nonetheless!

As believers we can do the same thing with our lives. We can allow the perception of perfection, and even selectively tell the truth, in order to give off an image that we think will draw others to Christ.

However, the more I work with people, the more I find they are looking for what is real. People are looking for someone confident enough in their faith, to remove the mask of perfection, and allow themselves to be relatable. People want authentic!

The apostle Paul was real. He shared his struggles, he was open about his past, and he never mixed words when it came to the truth. Whether you liked it or not he was going to give it to you straight!

In Paul’s authenticity, people found the hope of Christ. If God would use a messed up sinner like Paul, then God might just see them too!

God isn’t looking for people to project a perfectly healed, well-put-together Christian, He is looking for willing vessels to be conduits for Christ.

Learning to minister to others in spite of my present struggles and past pitfalls was a process only Christ could give me the confidence to do. However, that process brought me true freedom!

I encourage you, allow Christ to show you the safety in stepping out and removing your mask. He never asks us to unveil something that He doesn’t have a purpose for!

It’s not too late…
