June 2018

Hi Friend,

For a few months now I have been sitting in Brennan Manning’s book Ruthless Trust

I have found myself in the waves of conviction and freedom over and over again. It has convicted me in my limited thinking of what trusting God looks like, and it has freed me from some of the boxes I kept my faith in.

Trusting God is probably the greatest challenge a follower of Christ faces day in and day out. The process begins the moment we trust our eternity to an invisible God. Yet, we leap toward it with child-like faith that we know in our knower it’s true.

Then we live our days learning to trust every part of our lives to Him. I am grateful that God doesn’t grow tired in the process or distant in the wait. In fact, I believe when we are afraid to surrender, He loves us hard and that love helps us loosen the grip on whatever it is we’re clinging white-knuckled to. He’s just a good Father that way.

If you’re in a season of learning to trust God at a new level, let me leave you with the closing words of Brennan. May they sink into your heart as they sunk into mine.

The splendor of a human heart which trusts that it is loved gives God more pleasure and delight than Westminster Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel, and all the other human glories combined. Why?… Because trust is the preminent expression of love. Thus it may mean more to Jesus when we say, “I trust you.” than when we say, “I love you.” … Where am I in all of this? With you, clasping hands each moring and crying out in unison, “Lord Jesus, I trust you; help my lack of trust.

May your trust in Him grow like never before as you come to trust how fully you are loved by your Father in Heaven.

Your friend in faith,

Special Announcement:

Remade Mentorship Turns ONE!!

It’s hard to believe that this month we’re celebrating the first birthday of Remade’s Mentorship. For this special occasion, we will be opening enrollment June 13-15 for a limited time.

It’s virtual mentoring that fits your schedule instead of you trying to fit your schedule into mentoring.

You’ll receive 4 pieces of content that include a mentor masterclass, quick tips, interviews with other leading authors, speakers, and mentors. As well as a live group coaching call each month. Additionally, you will have access to a private mentoring group where you have a safe place to ask questions and share prayer requests and make friends on the same path as you.

Thoughts On the Go:

A fun app I found for my phone is called BEAR it helps me take notes, grab links, tag or put information into folders and subfolders to use later. I love this because I use my phone almost more than I use my computer.

Writing A Book:

Michele Cushatt and Kathi Lipp interview Kathleen Karr from Harvest Publishing on their podcast Communicator Academy. They have two amazing episodes that teach you how to outline your book before you write your book. Well worth the listen!
