Love is patient (with me), love is kind (toward me)

I am grateful to those who read what God inspires me to write. I am grateful that God prompts me to place words to print. Often times what I write down are intimate thoughts, life experiences, and future dreams. It is my hope that the words I write and speak bring honor to God and He uses them to encourage others.

Yet, there are those days, when what I write or say to another becomes ammunition for the enemy, an arrow of offense heading straight to the heart of another. I am not always aware of it, but sometimes I wonder how I even allowed such an egregious act to happen!

There are days the self-righteous, arrogant, nasty me surfaces, and I can make a mess of just about everything! How embarrassing! You’d think after serving God this long I’d have mastered my mouth, and be able to take captive those thoughts before they reach my computer or mouth! Yet the very thing God uses for good, apart from Him, I can use for destruction!

I am so grateful that on my not so good days that God is patient and kind with me. I am so grateful He is quick to convict, and does not allow me to stray too far.

Though a righteous man falls seven times, he get’s back up again. But the wicked are overthrown by disaster. Prov. 24:16

How about you? Are you finding you’ve strayed a bit off track? Is the very thing God uses to bless others with your stumbling block apart from God?

I hope to encourage you, the way God has encouraged me! Don’t allow your moment of disaster to overthrow you on your journey with God. Be quick to repent and get back up again! Obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit, He will guide you to what is good and just.

Remember, God is patient with us, and He is kind toward us. He is not self-seeking, and He is not easily angered, and He keeps no record of wrong! (1 Cor. 13)

I don’t know about you… but in this journey we call life, I am so grateful for that type of God!

I would love to make a wall decal of “Love is Patient, Love is Kind” 1 Corinthians 13:4 in the exact same fonts and embellishments as above. Would you consider telling the name of the fonts and leaf image?

You have a beautiful website. Thank you for sharing.
