Have you ever seen those jugglers who are spinning plates on the end of a stick. The object is to keep the plates spinning so they don’t fall. Each and every time they add another plate, the audience cringes because they know the inevitable will happen – a plate will eventually drop!

Right now, I am that juggler! I have more plates spinning than I know what to do with! I keep adding more plates, and the audience isn’t cringing I AM!!!

I keep thinking I am marking things off the list, and the plates are decreasing, but the truth of the matter is – the list won’t shrink!

One thing piles upon another thing, and I just can’t seem to find the end of the list. Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever feel like the plates are spinning and something is eventually going to give?

Ugh! So, please forgive me if this post is anything but inspiring!

Even though the goal is to never let ANY of the plates drop, there is a tendency to neglect the plates that are always up on the sticks spinning, like the mother and wife plate. Try as I might not to forget, I can begin to think they spin all on their own.

Yet, they don’t, and when they begin to wobble or even fall, the work it takes to get them all up and spinning again is so much more than just keeping them going.

I pray the Lord helps me not only keep all those plates spinning in the air, but He never allows me to forget the ones that mean the most! My heart is to be the best mom and wife possible, remembering to keep my priorities straight is half the battle!

Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates. Prov. 31:31

Ha! Yes, if we ignore them too long they will definitely remind us they are there when they come tumbling down upon our heads! Thanks for the post!

Personally, I find that all the plates fall on the floor if I forgot to keep my relationship with God “spinning” and moving along with Him 🙂

Leah, absolutely! Apart from Christ I cannot accomplish anything that He’s asked of me including being a wife and a mother! Thanks for the comment.

I find the hardest part about keeping all those plates spinning is taking time or even just HEARING God in the midst of all of it!!!!!

I know, making time for God and hearing his voice is so important in order to know what plates should be up there and which ones we should allow to fall. Thanks for posting!
