Since right now I’m literally walking out some of the God dreams of my heart, I thought this was a good post to unearth about standing for our dreams! Remade Ministries is launching a women’s Bible study in April, and God is opening doors to bring the fulfillment of promises from long ago. I am confident He will bring to pass the things He’s spoken into Your life as well! Don’t grow weary my sweet sisters!

Dreams. We all have them. From the time we are small we begin to dream of our future. An astronaut, actor, doctor, singer. In our mind we see the dream so clearly. We imagine what it would be like. We see the glory in it, and we want it! We want to stand on that stage, or maybe fly to the moon. We are determined to go the distance and fulfill our passion. Then reality comes crashing in…

In one big explosion our dreams colide with our insecurities. It creates a cloud of confusion and doubt. All the confidence that was bottled up in that dream, is now scattered in a million pieces all over the floor. How do we keep moving towards a dream when we keep slipping on our own insecurities?

First, we must realize who gave us the dream. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer. 29:11

Second, the One who gave us the dream has already seen the dream fulfilled in us. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16

Third, He has fully equipped us for our dream, even if we aren’t aware of our full potential. We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 2 Cor. 3:4-5

Lastly, if He gave us the dream, it’s His responsibility to bring it to fulfillment. A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men. Prov. 18:16

The truth is that as long as we believe it’s up to us, then our insecurities will continue to own us. We were created for this purpose – this dream, but we were designed to travel with Him. His wisdom guides us, His love encourages us, and His hope keeps us going when everything else tells us to stop.

Insecurities are major mountains we have to climb in our lives. No one is given a free pass around these mountains; the fulfillment of our dream hangs in the balance of whether we are willing to continue the hike up the mountain, or willing to stay on a ledge of insecurities convinced one step farther and we’ll fall.

He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. Psalm 18:33

Dream? That sometimes seems foreign to me. I so easily get wrapped up in the day to day stuff. We all must remember to dream because the Lord has great things for us. My prayer is for visions and dreams Lord show me my hearts desire, show me my purpose.

Don’t be too hard on yourself Kim. Remember the things God has for you, and don’t focus on the things you fall short on! Remember the scripture “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.” Prov. 24:16
