Close the chapter…
Close the story….
Close the book…
Just close it and don’t look back. Don’t be afraid of what didn’t happen. Don’t be afraid of what did. Just close it. Let it go. Allow yourself to be released of whatever is holding you back, keeping you tied, keeping you connected, blinding you from seeing the future, and only looking at what is behind.
Close the window…
Close the door…
Close the scene…
It’s time to walk free. It’s time to be brave. It’s time to forgive (yourself). It’s time to give yourself permission to start again. It’s time to sing. It’s time to laugh. It’s time to begin again and live again without looking back.
Close your eyes…
Close your mouth…
Close out the sounds…
You can do it… You are braver than you think you are… Breathe deeply… Now exhale.
Can you feel it? It’s a foreign sort of feeling isn’t it? It’s the feeling of your new beginning. Now go open that door!
{Today, I’m writing for 5 minutes without editing, along with hundreds of other bloggers, over at the Five Minute Friday with Lisa-Jo Baker and Friends! Come on over and join me!}
His mercies are new every morning. I need to remember that more often. This post is so full of encouragement. Each day we are given is full of new possibilities. I hope that you have a lovely weekend.Thank you for sharing your heart.
Jolene,

Hi Beth! We’re neighbors at Five Minute Friday. I read this as a God-assured command. Loved it,so powerful… especially the reminder to close our mouths. Our words have power and can be the greatest hindrance when trying to move forward. Have a great weekend.
Lisha!
Thanks for the comment. I am so glad you enjoyed it. It was so fun to write without thought but to allow inspiration to rule the moment!
Beth!
I love this post- what a strong encouragement to step forth in faith, trusting God to lead. This was the perfect Holy Spirit hug today as I close out one experience and embark forward on another.
Thank You!
