THE LITTLE THINGS
One last thing before you put the mug in the sink. When I am not planning, speaking, writing or dreaming you’ll find me sneaking out back without my phone to watch the cows graze on the hill, and absorb the warm sun on my face. Or you might find me in the kitchen trying to talk myself out of opening that bag of chips and dip.
I have a love/hate relationship with gym, and I am convinced that 80% of my guilt issues would be resolved if I never had to step foot into a gym again.
My life is good, not perfect, up here in my Northern Cali home that I affectionately refer to as the Kinder Fake Farm. Here you’ll find me farming two raised garden beds, and chatting with my four chicks who make a huge mess in my yard, and bring us more eggs than we can eat.
Our two bests, Kaitlyn and Joshua, are ushering in the empty nest years. Wait… pause… did I just write that? Oh. My. Word. However, Tom and I are finding sweet satisfaction in spontaneous dates without the babysitter battle, and saying “If you’re hungry fix it yourself.” If you’re not there yet, don’t hate, this bittersweet season will be here before you know it!
